Become a Higgy Captain
Kids who read well by third grade have a much better shot at everything that comes after. Higgy Captains are the parents and community members who help make that happen, one school and one family at a time.
What a Captain does
- Spread the word. Tell your school, church, club, and neighbors about Higgy and the Magic Pen.
- Host a school family night or fundraising drive. Bring families together around a great story, and help raise funds to put e-books in kids' hands.
- Introduce sponsors and schools. Connect local businesses, community members, principals, and teachers with us. Classroom-wide e-book buys get a 100% 1:1 match, with no minimum.
- Share Higgy. Our 8-foot-tall giraffe cookie ornament has a story every child can enjoy. Pass it along.
